01. Who we are
Roemi is provided by Shenzhen Qingyuanzi Technology Co., Ltd. (深圳市青元子科技有限公司). Contact us at contact@qingyuanzitech.com for privacy questions or requests.
02. What the app processes
When you start a scan, Roemi uses camera images, LiDAR/depth readings, camera position and orientation, and device capability information to reconstruct a 3D model. It stores models, thumbnails, names, notes, collection names, labels, scan time, device description and estimated dimensions locally. You choose the words you enter. Rooms can reveal private details: avoid capturing people, addresses, documents or belongings without permission.
03. Local processing and permissions
Object reconstruction and room meshing run on the device using Apple frameworks. Roemi does not upload capture images or 3D models to our servers or an AI model service. Camera permission is requested when capture needs it; you can withdraw it in iOS Settings, which prevents further camera scans. Existing saved models can still be viewed. The current app does not request contacts, microphone, precise location or tracking permission.
04. Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes subscription payments. Roemi reads StoreKit product information and verified purchase entitlements to enable Plus, restore purchases and determine trial eligibility. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple may process transaction, account, crash and device-backup information under its own settings and policies. A system device backup may contain app files; it is not a Roemi cloud-storage service.
05. Sharing, imports and backups
Files are imported only when you open or select them. Sharing and exporting use the destination you select in the system share sheet. A shared model or backup may contain your model and collection information; anyone who receives it may keep or forward a copy. Roemi cannot recall those copies. Exported collection backups contain the saved models, thumbnails and metadata; they are not a promise to retain every raw capture photo.
06. What reaches us or our website host
There is no account, advertising SDK or developer-run behavioral analytics in the current app. If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. Send a short description rather than private scans unless needed. We use support correspondence to answer the request and retain it only while needed for support, security or legal obligations. Our public website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes ordinary connection data such as IP address, request URL and browser information to deliver and protect it. This site has no advertising or third-party analytics scripts. Your language choice is stored in the page URL, not an advertising identifier. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
07. Retention, removal and your choices
Saved app files remain locally until you delete the relevant memory or remove the app. Deleting a memory removes its library record, saved model, thumbnail and linked capture folder. Unfinished scans may leave local capture files. Deleting the app removes its local sandbox, subject to Apple system behavior; offloading the app may preserve its data. Export before deleting anything you want to keep. Copies you exported, sent or backed up must be removed separately from those destinations. With no Roemi account or server archive, we cannot recover a lost local model.
08. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy, restriction or objection concerning personal information we hold, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to a relevant data-protection authority. Manage locally stored scans directly in the app. For support emails or website-related requests, use the contact above; we may need reasonable information to verify and fulfill the request. We do not sell your scans or use them for targeted advertising.
09. Children and changes
Roemi is not directed to children under 13, or the higher age at which parental permission is required locally. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it. We will update this page when practices change and provide an in-app notice where a material change requires it. The date above identifies this version; applicable mandatory privacy rights continue to apply.
